Bishop Barthol Barretto visited St Joseph the Worker Church, Panodi on August 06, 2024.
He visited the Convent of the Holy Cross Sisters, who shared about their ministry. Then he visited a few poor families in the vicinity, exchanged friendly greetings with them; the members felt at ease to share their experiences with the Bishop.
Bp Barthol met the members of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC); 12 members were present. He challenged the members to think of one pastoral reality during the academic year: children, youth, injustice meted out to women, etc.
As he met the youth of the parish, he motivated them to form the Parish Youth Group, and meet with Fr Savio every month.
The Bishop then met Fr Savio and Fr Neville separately; he thanked both of them profusely for ministering to the pastoral needs of the villagers.
