My dear collaborators in the field of education,
At the outset, I thank you for having attended the meeting of the Diocesan Board of Education at the Nashik Social Service Society Hall, Bishop’s House compound, Nashik on Monday, July 21. Many of you came to me and expressed your appreciation for the information on the New Education Policy (NEP) communicated to us by our Resource Person, Fr Ashlie Bhanga, a priest of the Diocese of Vasai. I am sure you will start thinking about the NEP and see how best you can start implementing the most important points in your School.
May I communicate the following important points to you:
I am sending you the PPT used by Fr Ashlie Bhanga on the NEP by WhatsApp.
The new GR on NEP in Marathi is being attached herewith.
A circular from the Western Region Catholic Foundation for Education (WRCFE) too is being attached herewith. Please send your subscription of Rs 500.00 via NEFT to the said WRCFE Office; details are mentioned in the circular.
Please ensure that the Teachers in the School are not to indulge in corporal punishment and male teachers should not to touch the girl children.
Please see to it that the following 3 Committees are established in the School: a) the Parent’s-Teacher’s Association Executive Committee (15 parents; 12 Teachers; 2 Management members (total 29 members): Office Bearers: Principal (President); Parent (Vice President); Teacher (Secretary); Joint Secretary (1 Teacher and 1 Parent) and the Manager. b) The School Management Committee: Office Bearers: Chairperson – Manager; Member Secretary – Principal; Vice Chairperson – Senior Teacher or Supervisor; Teacher Representatives – 2 to 3 Senior Teachers; Parent Representatives – 2 members (one male and one female); Education Expert – 1 member; Social Worker – 1 member; Non-teaching Staff Representative – 1 member; Management Reps - 2 members from the Governing Body and c) Sakhi Savitri Committee: Office Bearers: President of the School Committee; Principal (Secretary); 1 Lady Teacher; 1 Female Counsellor; 1 female nurse; 2 Parents – one of them a Lawyer; 4 students: 2 boys and 2 girls.
Obtain the Minority Certificate for the School.
