My dear collaborators,
In the light of what is happening in the State of Maharashtra, I am writing to remind you of an issue that I have been repeatedly stating in my circulars as far as Church properties are concerned. Please note that the following documents are of utmost importance and should be in your custody, failing which you will have to take full responsibility. Please send one copy of all the documents mentioned below to the Bishop’s House so that we can keep the same in the Archives.
The property documents required are as follows:
AVAILABLE WITH THE TALATHI: 7/12 extracts; Mutation entries; Khate Utara and Gut book
AVAILABLE WITH THE CITY SURVEY: Property Card; Inquiry Registration Card; Map of the Property. If the property is obtained by registered document then the relevant document along with Index II record must be obtained. The document may be Gift Deed, Sale deed, Lease Deed or any other relevant document. If the property is received under WILL, then a copy of the WILL and INDEX III must be obtained. If it is obtained under PROBATE then a copy of the PROBATE should be obtained.
